Meals will be served at the YMCA of Chilton County between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. If you would like to reserve meals for your children, please call the YMCA of Chilton County 205-755-2382 to be placed on the pick-up list .

The goal of the Summer Food Service Program is to ensure that all youth 18 and under have nutritious meals and snacks during the summer months. One in six children in the United States struggles with food insecurity, according to the National YMCA website, and without schools providing lunches, many of those children are at risk of going hungry during summer vacation. This is especially true for young people who benefit from free or reduced price lunches. This is where the SFSP comes in, to help provide these young people with nutritious meals. There will be no discrimination during meal service. The conditions for acceptance and participation in the program and all activities are the same for everyone, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
